The predecessor CPI series covered only Greater Buenos Aires, while the replacement CPI series covers urban areas throughout the nation. In response, we have archived the predecessor dataset (April 2008=100) by renaming the series with a "_08" specifier and marking them as "discontinued." The predecessor series run from January 1943 to December 2013. The replacements (2013Q4=100) start at December 2013.

Additionally, Moody's Analytics has extended the history for both not seasonally adjusted (NSA) and seasonally adjusted (SA) total CPI series.
