In response, we have marked the predecessors (OKVED, January 2005 to December 2016) as "discontinued" in their metadata and segregated in the catalog. The replacements (OKVED 2) start at January 2017 and have standardized mnemonics. Figures are unitary count (#) not seasonally adjusted (NSA).

Please be aware that:

• The dataset is split in two taxonomies, by industry (economic activity) and by ownership.
• OKVED 2 is the localization of NACE Rev. 2.
• Because the replacements have standardized mnemonics, even at points where the two classifications align, legacy mnemonics will no longer return active data. You will need to modify your retrievals.
• We use the concept code theme-segment "BD" for series related to business demographics, i.e., births and deaths of enterprises, number of jobs impacted by those events, etc.
