Motivation: The Census and Statistics Department Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSARG) reports gross value added by industry, but only in not seasonally adjusted (NSA) terms.
Response: For analytical convenience and international consistency, we have created counterparts that are seasonally adjusted at an annualized rate (SAAR).
Properties: Supplemental series of this kind are identified by a secondary source citation of "Moody's Analytics Adjusted". Expect our SA series to be revised with each update.

Method
- Adjust each industry, using the U.S. Census Bureau's X-13 ARIMA program
- Compute five aggregates as sums: total GVA (all industries); import/export, wholesale and retail trades; real estate, professional and business services; transportation, storage, postal and courier services; and services.
