June 2019 -- For the retail sales index for Venezuela, concurrent with dissemination of results for January 2019, the source has advanced the base year from 1997 to 2007 (26 monthly series 2000 to 2013, replaced by four monthly series from 2007).

In response, we have:

Archived the predecessors (1997=100, 2000m1 to 2013m9) by renaming with an "_97" specifier, marking metadata as "discontinued", and segregating in the catalog.
Created partial replacements, for headline retail trade (2007=100, two series from 2007m1).
Added headline wholesale trade (2007=100, two series from 2007m1).
Extended the series over the interval 2000m1 to 2006m12.
Synchronized our SA supplements for retail trade.
Refurbished the catalog.
