Motivation: Eurostat now reports employment by 12 industries in CDASA terms (calendar day adjusted and seasonally adjusted).
Response: We have (1) updated our estimation methodology to incorporate the as-reported CDASA data, no longer performing the seasonal adjustment ourselves. The CDASA data (2) enables an improved break adjustment process, to compensate for a classification break at 2008Q1.
What you will see
The entire history of all 26 series is potentially revised.
Values from 2008Q1 forward have undergone small revisions attributable to differences between seasonal factors derived by Moody's Analytics and Eurostat. Values before 2008Q1 may have been revised substantially, per response (2) above; the revisions apply principally to service industries. The net result is greater continuity in values pre- and post-2008Q1.
The unit-descriptor metadata on the series has changed from "SA" to "CDASA". The corpus and properties (start dates, metadata) are otherwise unchanged.
