There are three changes to our extract:
- France's most recent geo redefinition combined 16 of the "administrative regions" into seven, resulting in 18 total areas (see related article). These changes will be reflected in the Eurostat NUTS 2016 standard, at the NUTS 2 level.
- We have added one series for the remaining reported geos, namely, France's overseas departments.
- The national total (geo code IFRA) has been revised to include the overseas departments; they are excluded from the France métropolitaine total (IFRA_XDOM) (see related article).
In response, we have archived the predecessor areas (2012-2016) by marking their metadata as "discontinued." The replacements start at 2014. Attributes are otherwise unchanged: Figures are square meters (m²) not seasonally adjusted (NSA).
All series reside in the historical catalog (France » Real Estate » Non-residential » Permits | Starts » Annual) and include, for example:
- HSAPMTCOMACCUA.IFRA_BO = [DISCONTINUED] Real estate: Non-residential - Building permits by type of premises - Accommodation - for NUTS 2 (2013) Bourgogne
- HSAPMTCOMACCUA.IFRA_HN = [DISCONTINUED] for NUTS 2 (2013) Haute-Normandie
- HSAPMTCOMACCUA.IFRA_AP = for NUTS 2 (2016) Nouvelle-Aquitaine
- HSAPMTCOMACCUA.IFRA_ND = for NUTS 2 (2016) Normandie
The new series include, for example:
- HSAPMTCOMACCUA.IFRA_MY = for NUTS 2 (2016) Mayotte
- HSAPMTCOMACCUA.IFRA_GU = for NUTS 2 (2016) Guadeloupe
