Motivation: For the country of Jordan, we obtain industrial production measures from a cross-national source -- the International Monetary Fund (International Financial Statistics) -- which are reported as month-over-month percent change, not seasonally adjusted.
Response: For international consistency, we have transformed the data to a fixed-base index, with a common base year, and seasonally adjusted it. Also, we have created a quarterly counterpart via discrete interpolation.
Properties:
- Measurement: Fixed-base value index, 2010=100
- Adjustment: Seasonally adjusted (SA)
- Frequencies: Monthly, quarterly
- Start dates: 1972M01, 1972Q1
- Geo coverage: Nation
The estimates resides in the Data Buffet historical catalog (Jordan » Industry » Industrial production index » Index 2010=100) and are:
- RIPAM.IJOR = Industrial Production Index, (Index 2010=100, SA)
- RIPAQ.IJOR = Industrial Production Index, (Index 2010=100, SA)
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
