Motivation: Our national source for Sweden reports final consumption expenditure and gross capital formation, two components of GDP(E), but only in not seasonally adjusted (NSA) terms
Response: For international consistency, we have calculated counterpart series that are seasonally adjusted (SA).
Properties: The current- and constant-price series start at 1980Q1 and 1981Q1, respectively. Figures are millions of Swedish krona in current (Mil. SEK) and chained year-2016 (Mil. Ch. 2016 SEK) terms.
The series reside in the historical catalog (Sweden » National accounts » by Expenditure » Quarterly » Current prices | Constant prices) and are:
- NALEFCAQ.ISWE = National Accounts: By Expenditure - Final consumption expenditure, (Mil. SEK, SA)
- NALEGCFAQ.ISWE = Gross capital formation, (Mil. SEK, SA)
- NACEFCAQ.ISWE = Final consumption expenditure, (Mil. Ch. 2016 SEK, SA)
- NACEGCFAQ.ISWE = Gross capital formation, (Mil. Ch. 2016 SEK, SA)
Method: Both concepts are identities of existing SA components.
- Final consumption expenditure is the sum of consumption expenditure by households and NPISHs plus final consumption expenditure of general government.
- Gross capital formation is the sum of gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) plus change in inventories.
