Figures for all quarters back to 2016 have been revised
In connection with the release of figures for the 2nd quarter of 2018, the base year is updated with new information from the final national accounts for 2016. In addition, new information has been incorporated for all quarters starting in the 1st quarter of 2017.

How the figures are calculated
The sum of four quarters in the Quarterly National Accounts (QNA) makes up the preliminary annual figures until the Annual National Accounts (ANA) for year t are published in August in year t+2 and incorporated as a new base year in the QNA. Hence, 2016 is the base year in the QNA when publishing data in August 2018.
In response, we have:
- Archived reference year 2015 series, corresponding current-price series, and our supplements; by renaming with an "_15", marking metadata as discontinued, and segregating in the catalog.
- Created one-for-one replacements (reference year 2016) and corresponding current-price series.
- Properties are otherwise unchanged. There is no change to mnemonics.
The chained-price series reside in the historical catalog (Norway » National Accounts » by Expenditure | by Value Add » Quarterly » 2016 prices » Chained prices) and include, for example:
- NACEFCHN_15UQ.INOR = [DISCONTINUED] Expenditure approach - Final consumption expenditure of households and NPISHs, (Mil. Ch. 2015 NOK, NSA)
- NACEEXCQ.INOR = Expenditure approach - Total exports, (Mil. Ch. 2016 NOK, CDASA)
- NACSGVATUQ.INOR = Production approach - Gross value added - Total industry, (Mil. Ch. 2016 NOK, NSA)
The reported current-price NSA series and our SA supplements reside in the adjacent node (... » Current prices) and include, for example:
- NALSGVATUQ.INOR = Production approach - Gross value added - All activities (Mil. NOK, NSA)
- NALSGVAMFAQ.INOR = GVA - Manufacturing, (Mil. NOK, SA)
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" that accepts a mnemonic.
