Motivation: For quarterly national accounts, the Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) has recently performed a five-year benchmark revision and advanced the currency reference year from 2010 to 2015.
Response: For our corresponding quarterly estimates, we have synchronized the chained-EUR subset to match the source. There are also revisions to the EUR- (at 2010 prices, our common cross-country reference year) and USD-valued subsets, and to all three current-price subsets.
What you will see: All periods are revised, from 1996Q1; for all concepts. Because Italy is a member of the euro zone, the current-priced NCU- and EUR-valued subsets are equal. The unit-descriptor metadata has changed.
The series reside in the historical catalog:
Method: Unchanged. Please refer to the background documentation in Mnemonic 411.
