In response, we have archived the predecessors (2010=100, January 2005 to December 2017) by marking metadata as "discontinued" and by segregating in the catalog. The one-for-one replacements (2015=100) start at January 2015 and have standardized mnemonics. Figures are fixed-base value index (Index 2015=100) or volume index (Vol. Index 2015=100). Reported series are not seasonally adjusted (NSA). The classification is NACE Rev. 2.
The series reside in the historical catalog (Cyprus » Consumer » Trade » Retail) and include, for example:
- WRIRATTUM.ICYP = [DISCONTINUED] Turnover volume index: Retail - Total retail trade [47], (Index 2010=100, SA)
- WRIRTUM.ICYP = Retail trade: Total retail trade [47], (Index 2015=100, NSA)

Please be aware that
The predecessors were reported from January 2010, but we had extended their history.
The replacements are reported from January 2015, but for the general indexes, we have extended history to January 2000.
We have replaced our seasonally adjusted supplements to the extended general indexes; they are now named WRIRTAM.ICYP and WRJRTAM.ICYP.
Because we have not renamed the predecessors, legacy retrievals will continue to fetch them, but (if you include the description and source basket headers, which we strongly recommend) they will show as discontinued. Because the replacements have standardized mnemonics (to facilitate cross-country retrieval), to retrieve active data, you will need to construct a new basket.
