We have changed the "source" metadata field:
- Before: Central Statistical Organisation (CSO)
- After: Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI)
CSO is a component of MOSPI, but does not directly publish data. Note that CSO was previously an Organisation but is now an Office.
The series with corrected metadata reside in the historical catalog (India » Industry » Industrial production index » Index FY 2012=100) and include, for example:
- IPITTUM.IIND = Industrial production index: General, (Index FY 2012=100, NSA)
- IPIPRIUM.IIND = Primary goods
- IPI10UM.IIND = Manufacture of food products
Because catalog locations are subject to change, the upper-right search box on DataBuffet.com provides a "find in catalog" mode that accepts a mnemonic.
