Associate Product Strategist

Description

Moody’s Analytics Economics Division, located in West Chester, Pa, is a leading independent provider of economic, financial, country, and industry research designed to meet the diverse planning and information needs of businesses, governments, and professional investors worldwide. The Associate Product Strategist is responsible for aiding in the development and planning of new products, as well as the pricing, packaging and strategic marketing of these products.

  • Assist in the pricing, packaging, strategic marketing and development of new product opportunities.
  • Conduct and assist in the implementation of market research to identify new product opportunities.
  • Help develop ideas and business plans for new products and pitch the strategy and financial impact to senior management.
  • Work with product development teams consisting of technology and product management resources from specification and development of the new product to roll out and maintenance.
  • Source and analyze market feedback on products and services.
  • Conduct and analyze reporting on product sales, customers, and websites and make recommendations for product strategy based on findings.
  • Assist in the development of external distribution channels and third-party licensing agreements.
  • Assist in the development of strategies for the functionality and user experience of web and other electronic products.

Qualifications

Description

Moody’s Analytics Economics Division, located in West Chester, PA, is a leading independent provider of economic, financial, country, and industry research designed to meet the diverse planning and information needs of businesses, governments, and professional investors worldwide. The successful candidate would work with a new and expanding group that designs, implements, and operates algorithms to produce unique client-facing data sets and uses quantitative techniques to drive significant internal productivity and quality improvements. You would be responsible for developing, implementing, testing, and operating applications and processes that produce and evaluate data and models. This is a highly collaborative position, requiring frequent interaction with a variety of teams across the line of business. Key details of the successful candidate’s responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing quantitative products and product enhancements, for example:

     1. Systems design, analysis and evaluation 

     2. Data estimation and imputing

     3. High-throughput numerical quality assessment 

     4.  Econometric forecasting

  • Identifying opportunities and executing programmatic solutions to significantly improve productivity
  • Assessing and improving the interfaces by which external and internal clients interact with the group's data and models

Qualifications

Minimum education and work experience required for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Industrial engineering, or a relevant quantitative field; 0-2 years of relevant work experience; and work experience or coursework involving programming: C#, Python, R, STATA, Matlab or related programs. Other useful experience, but not required, include large-scale data analysis and computing, Hadoop, quantitative finance and valuation, or econometric forecasting.

Description

Moody’s Analytics Economics Division is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer for its West Chester, PA office. As a Web Developer, you will be working on improving and supporting our existing codebase, as well as developing new software for Economic and Credit analytic applications. A normal day at Moody’s Analytics means switching from an application in development, to debugging a user reported issue, to working directly in the database environment. The fluid work environment allows creativity when designing new features or upgrading existing features.

Familiarity with these languages and tools is needed and experience with AngualrJS and JavaScript is beneficial; C#, Bootstrap CSS, and MS SQL Server.

We are a small team within a larger organization so you will be contributing to multiple projects and technologies, using a wide range of skills, every day.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in web development (both front-end and back-end)
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent degree or experience

Description

Moody’s Analytics Economics Division is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer for its West Chester, PA office.  The Software QA Engineer position requires a professional who is very knowledgeable about QA testing tools and methodologies.  A successful candidate has experience authoring and executing both manual and automated software tests.  He/she must interface with software development and business stakeholders to fully understand application functionality, and ensure adequate test coverage.  Software QA Engineers must stay up-to-date on trends and developments within functional area of expertise and the industry.  Other responsibilities of a Software QA Engineer include:

  • Write and execute manual and automated tests.
  • Use bug tracking systems to submit, track and manage defects.
  • Analyze the results of performed tests and provide meaningful reports to project team.
  • Maintain software testing artifacts.
  • Use queries to create test data and analyze results for the tests performed.
  • Work closely with development staff and other key stakeholders to ensure coverage for each software release.
  • Develop/maintain automation framework modules as directed by management to fulfill specific testing requirements.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree)
  • 3-5 years of Software QA experience
  • Excellent understanding of QA processes, methodologies and Software Testing Lifecycle
  • Good understanding of QA testing tools and environments
  • Experience with automated testing tools (CasperJS, Selenium, etc.)
  • Able to work well within the constructs of an agile process, including SCRUM, continuous build and integration, etc.
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC
