Description

Moody’s Analytics Economics Division, located in West Chester, PA, is a leading independent provider of economic, financial, country, and industry research designed to meet the diverse planning and information needs of businesses, governments, and professional investors worldwide. You would be responsible for in-depth research and forecasting for state and metropolitan economies and international economies; producing written analysis for our regional and international publications; and responding to client requests and inquiries. The work requires general spreadsheet analysis, in depth computer programming for data transformation and estimation, collecting and interpreting data for clients, working with the senior staff on larger research and consulting projects, and contributing to our live commentary website.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Economics relevant experience preferred in economic forecasting and consulting.  Excellent academic record, writing skills, and a strong proficiency in the use of computers and statistical/econometric software.  A successful applicant with a recent bachelor’s degree would be placed as an entry level Associate Economist 1. An applicant with two-years of post-graduate experience and/or a Master’s degree would be placed as an Associate Economist 2. The position requires a motivated, responsible person who can work well with others and independently of daily supervision and produce near copy-ready quality reports.  Strong interpersonal skills are a must as Associate Economists will work directly with clients to produce scheduled customized products as well as to share their insights on the areas they will cover.

Moody’s Analytics Economics Division, located in West Chester, PA, is a leading independent provider of economic, financial, country, and industry research designed to meet the diverse planning and information needs of businesses, governments, and professional investors worldwide.   As part of the global Operations and Strategy team, Operations Analysts (OA) are the firm’s Sales Contract Specialists. You will work with a dedicated sales team and contribute to business development objectives by managing the contracting process from start to finish. The OA is responsible for drafting and tailoring each contract, ensuring that the terms and license parameters meet the needs of the client and sales team while also complying with organizational standards and protocol. This role works closely with many internal stakeholders including Sales, Legal, Finance, and Administration. Successful OAs are detail-oriented and self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate exceptional multitasking ability under tight deadlines. Candidates must have strong organizational skills and be both process- and results-oriented. 

Key Responsibilities:

 •Manage the end-to-end process for renewals and new business, supporting a dedicated team of sales representatives and acting as the primary point of contact for contract drafting, negotiation, and execution processes.

•Draft sales contracts in accordance with internal policies and best practices while evaluating both business and client needs and making recommendations to sales representatives. Exercise judgment throughout the contract drafting & negotiation process to resolve issues and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls. 

•Analyze account information, license parameters, and contract terms with extreme attention to detail in order to support the sales team with proposals for pricing and contractual requirements.

•Complete primary review of and validate all executed contracts, confirming compliance with internal policies and best practices. Ensure all information required for order submission is documented and accurate.

•Facilitate any subsequent changes or adjustments requested by Sales or Client and use discretion in determining course of action.

•Lead collaboration with Finance, Legal, Billing plus other stakeholders to review complex contracts to define specific deliverables, terms, or other contractual elements related to new sales.

•Maintain accurate client data throughout CRM and different systems, ensure pricing and allocations are correct, and document pertinent transaction details. Ensure consistency and accuracy for all stages of the sales cycle.

•Ensure internal and external client queries are fully resolved in a timely fashion with a high level of satisfaction.

 Facilitate business process improvement. Proactively develop ideas to streamline workflow and optimize efficiency. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) in finance, business administration, information systems, management, or other relevant area.

•Minimum 2 years prior experience working in a sales operations function with contract management responsibilities, supporting the quote-to-cash process.

•Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

•Able to quickly adapt to changing processes and procedures.

•Extremely detail-oriented.

•Highly motivated and results-driven.

•Strong teamwork and customer service orientation. Highly responsive and proactive in issue identification, communication, and managing expectations.

•Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships, particularly with key stakeholders.

•Demonstrates good judgment in problem-solving and issue escalation.

•Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

•Experience working with Salesforce and/or Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and/or Apttus contract management tool is strongly desired.

•Project management experience preferred in any of the following areas: process improvement/automation, technology solutions for sales operations, and data quality.

•Fluency in English (spoken & written) is essential. For EMEA-based positions, other European languages would be advantageous

  • Executing updates to our time-series database via automated routines or manual data entry.
  • Updating our SQL meta data repository with documentation
  • Maintaining our Economic Calendar by monitoring websites, email distribution lists, and direct contact with data vendors.
  • Producing reports consisting of tables and charts for Quality Assurance and Client Use
  • Communicating results and feedback on a daily basis to manager
