How We Are Different

Our differentiating qualities.

If you ask our clients what distinguishes us from our competitors, the first thing they'll tell you is that Moody's Analytics client service is far and away the best in the industry. In fact, many of our clients tell us that our client service is the best of any company they deal with. For Moody's Analytics, client service is our highest priority, not an afterthought.

What makes our client service so good? We make it easy for clients to communicate with us; our staff is friendly and knowledgeable; we are very responsive to client questions and requests; and we don't nickel-and-dime our clients.

Clients appreciate the way we unbundle our products. Other firms sell their products on a take-it-or-leave-it basis; we unbundle ours, offering clients customizable subscription plans that give them the access they need without forcing them to purchase unneeded services. Occasional clients can purchase most of our products on a per report basis for one-time purchase.

All of our forecasts, U.S. macro, U.S. regional, U.S. industry and international, are updated monthly. While our competitors update their U.S. Macro forecasts monthly, they update their other forecasts quarterly.

We offer objective, stimulating, jargon-free analysis of current economic and financial events worldwide. We're especially adept at explaining economic concepts to nontraditional or occasional users of economic information.

Our economists are not segmented by products, such as "regional," "macro," or "industry," as our competitors do. Rather, our economists work across product lines. That's because industry movements greatly affect regional growth (and vice versa), so why try to artificially separate the two?

Ever since our founding, Moody's Analytics has actively introduced and integrated new technology to allow our clients the greatest degree of customization, choice, and convenience. We're also a firm believer in open systems: unlike our data and forecasting competitors, we don't require the purchase or use of any proprietary data retrieval or modeling software.
