Release Information
The World Bank Education Statistics Database analyzes education data on over 4,000 indicators. The database holds internationally-comparable data on over 200 countries and various regional and income group aggregates.
The indicators are organized by category:
- The Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Expenditures, and Teacher categories have data from the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS).
- The Learning Outcomes category holds data from international and regional learning assessments including TIMSS, PIRLS, PISA, and SACMEQ.
- The Population, Labor, and Other categories hold background data from The World Bank, ILO, and other sources.
