The data in this collection cover main demographic indicators, population, fertility, mortality. Series availability depends largely on the availability of data from the relevant national statistical institutes, (as well as on the state of the enlargement).
Data are presented country by country and for groups of countries the European Union, the Economic and Monetary Union, the European Economic Area and the European Free Trade Association.
The regions currently follow the guidelines set in the NUTS 2013 classification.
Revised data at the regional level can be provided at any point during the year. The source will maintain complete consistency through the dataset meaning if one NUTS area is revised, then the others will follow suits to maintain additivity.
