The housing stock data are annual and are reported for Spain, its autonomous communities and provinces. The housing of year t is defined as the sum total housing existing at a given point in time of the year.
The estimate of housing stock in year t gives the following identity: Number of houses at t = number of dwellings in t-1 + Number of households + new building constructed at t + Number of houses built by rehabilitation t - Number of houses demolished in t.
