For Singapore, general government operating finances by caetgory: monthly revenue (tax, fees, etc.) and quarterly expenditures (administration, health, security, etc.).
The data for central government are based on accounting records maintained by the Accountant-General’s Department of the Ministry of Finance. The data for statutory boards are based on annual financial statements prepared by the respective units.
Government operating expenditure refers to expenditure on manpower, other operating expenditure (excluding expenses on investment and agency fees on land sales) and operating grants.
"Info-communications and media development" was re-classified from Info-Communications Technology to include expenditure related to Media Development Programme from April 2007 onwards.
Figures may not add up due to rounding.
We seasonally adjust general government monthly revenue and quarterly expenditure using the U.S. Census Bureau's X-13 ARIMA program, in annualized terms (SAAR).
The data are audited, and are final at the time of release.
