Release Information

In Singapore, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) publishes "Real estate statistics" and related tables that describe residential and non-residential stage of construction. We collect the following:

  • Annex E-1: Stock and vacancy and supply in the pipeline
  • Annex E-4: Number of private residential units and executive condominiums completed in the quarter
  • Annex F: Number of executive condominium units launched and sold

Active:

  • Measurements:
    • Unitary count of units (#)
    • Percent share (%)
    • Thousands of square meters (Ths. m2)
  • Adjustment: Not seasonally adjusted (NSA)
  • Native frequency: Quarterly
  • Start date: As early as 1996Q1

Predecessor:

  • Warehouse and factory typologies - 2006Q2 to 2013Q3 (no specifier)

Quarterly data are published in data table annexes to the media releases. These are published in preliminary ("flash estimate") and final phases. The final phase is the fourth Friday of January, April, July and October.

Moody's Analytics supplements

For the count of completed residential units, we back-extend prior to 2019Q1 using the predecessor series, and construct seasonally adjusted counterpart.

For the typology "retail space" there is a gap from 2014Q1 to 2023Q2.

It is possible that "shop" and "retail space" are distinct typologies under local usage. We are seeking clarification from the source.
