Release Information

The Singapore Department of Statistics publishes the Approval, Construction Commencement and Completion of Commerical and Industrial Developments (Private and Public Sectors) data quarterly.  The dataset covers the construction of new buildings only.  Excluded indicators include: addition/alteration to existing buildings, temporary structures, minor works, and reconstruction of residential houses.

It also publishes residential stage of construction.

The data are published by the Singapore Department of Statistics (DOS a.k.a. SingStat) and are extracted from two sources. The Urban Redeveloplment Authority (URA) provides the statistics on Provisional Permissions and Written Permissions. The JTC Corporation (JTC) provides the statistics on Building Plan approvals, Notices of Commencement, and Temporary Occupation Permits or Certificates of Statutory Completion.
