Release Information

The National Bank of the Slovak Republic provides data on new business loans that is broken down by initial rate fixation (IRF). Represented times series on interest rates on loans to non-financial sector (S.11) are segmented by amount category. Times series on interest rates on loans to households (S.14+S.15) are segmented by type of loans.

The source writes:

The interest rates statistics on new loans granted to households provide not only information about the interest charged for loans but also information on related fees charged by the same institutions. The annual percentage rate of charge (APRC) applied to consumer credit and loans to households for house purchased allows monitoring the development of loan charges over time.

Represented time series on outstanding amount on loans are aggregated data breakdown by sectors and original maturity. In case of loans for households data are segmented also by type of loans.

The annual percentage rate of charge is the total costs of a loan for a client. It is calculated using an element of the interest rate and an element of other associated costs (costs of gathering information, administration, preparation of documents, etc.).
