The Index of Industrial Production and Sales Physics (IPVF) is an economic indicator which aim is to measure the monthly development of the productive activity undertaken by the industries for the Category D Tab Industries Manufacturers from the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC), Revision 4 United Nations.
The cyclical nature the rate and timing of its publication, with a lag of 28 days, make it in a key indicator for the calculations of the Monthly Index of Activity Economic (IMACEC) and the Quarterly National Accounts made by the Bank Central de Chile. The index also gives accurate expectations of employers.
For two of the component indexes, we back-extend (mining to 1957m1, manufacturing to 1958m1) and construct SA counterparts.
