Release Information

Headline annual public debt (borrowing) for the Republic of Cyprus: domestic, foreign, total. In Cypriot pounds 2003-2006, and in euros from 2007.

Methodology

International standards: ESA 95 and GFSM 2001.

Reporting agent: Treasury of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicosia.

Data Buffet harvests from the Financial Report, chapter 4, statement 4.1 (previously numbered 2.1), lines 3, 31 and 32.

Revisions

In each edition, two years of data are published. Moody's Analytics observed a revision in the 2011 edition but not thereafter (2012 to 2015).
