For Peru, the "manufacturing production index" is an industrial production index (IPI). Monthly from 1994.

Predecessor:
The GDP indicator for the manufacturing industry is calculated from the physical volume index of production manufactured by the Ministry of Production. Primary resource processing includes industrial activities that are associated with agriculture, fishing and mining. Non-primary production includes all other activities more related to the evolution of demand and employment.
We seasonally adjust the fixed-base general index using the U.S. Census Bureau's X-13ARIMA-SEATS program.
Data are preliminary when first released in the INEI's press notes, the BCRP's fax report and the "Nota Semanal" (Weekly Bulletin). Data are revised every quarter. Final data are published in the "Memoria del BCRP" (annual report) six months after the end of the year.
The index is rebased at irregular intervals.
