Birth and death data are compiled on the Civil Registration System and international migration data on the Immigration Control of Ministry of Justice.
Geographical, population group coverage: The data cover all persons, irrespective of nationality, who usually reside in the Republic of Korea, except foreign military personnel, and the foreign diplomatic corps, and persons accompanying them.
Data is collected from survey with a dedicated survey reference and period. Survey unit and target population size is Korean nationals residing or outside Korea, who reported their birth, death, marriage, divorce status.
Data may be revised.
