  • Sources of weights: Weights of most items are based on Input-Output Table tabulated by the office of National Economics and Social Development Board (NESDB). Disaggregated weights are base on production value data from surveying, Trade Associations, Bank of Thailand and others.
  • Time period of current weights: Base year 2015.
  • Frequency of weight updates: The index is re-based and re-weighted each time according to the Input-Output Table revision about every five years.
  • Items selection: Items selection from production structure of the country with the high value in each product type and random sampling of industries entrepreneur for collection and surveying.
  • Sample size: Approximately 4,200 price quotations are collected each month from 2,000 producers (609 items).
