Data collection method and sample size
This is a mandatory survey. The legal framework was set in the EU Regulation 3924/91, in the Royal Decree of 28 January 1994, Belgian Official Gazette of 15 February 1994 and the Royal Decree of 20 February 2008, published in the Moniteur Belge of 10 March 2008. The language of the form (Parts 1 and 2) is determined by the location of the place of business, as provided by the Royal Decree of 18 July 1966, published in the Belgian Official Gazette of 2 August 1966 on the coordination of laws on the use of languages in administrative matters.
A form must be completed separately for each local unit. The local unit is an enterprise or part of a company (e.g. a production workshop, factory, retail outlet, office, mine or depot) situated in a geographically defined. In this place, or from that place economic activity is carried out for which, without exception, one or more persons work (even if part time) on behalf of the same company.
