Release Information

For Belgium, monthly price indexes for output prices in industry excluding construction (i.e., NACE Rev. 2 sections C, D and E), broken out by economic activity and by utilization (i.e., main industial grouping, MIG).

The output price index in industry is reported for five markets (total, domestic, non-domestic, euro zone, non-euro zone), but Data Buffet carries only the "total market" slice. The dataset previously included a raw materials price index (RMPI), which was terminated in 2015.

The producer price indices are short-term indicators that show monthly price changes in the economical activities sector. They can be an indicator of inflationary pressure in economy but also allow measuring the evolution of prices over longer periods.
