Brazil - Population

For Brazil, the "Continuous PNAD" (PNADC, PNAD Contínua, "Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios Contínua", "national continuous household sample survey") is a replacement for the "Monthly Employment Survey - PME" and the "National Sample Survey of Households - PNAD". Results are reported monthly for national series (PNADC/M) and quarterly for subnational series (PNADC/T).

The National Survey by Household Sample Continuous Quarterly covers the resident population in the Greater Regional Areas of:

The Continuous PNAD incorporates international recommendations and was assisted by the ILO in the process of developing this study.

The search rotation scheme is 1-2 (5), or a household is interviewed in a month, two months the remains out of the sample and returns to the next interview. The process is repeated until he is interviewed five times. In short, a household is interviewed for five quarters, once every quarter.

Real series are based off of current quarter.

The data is collected through a Computer-Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) using Continuous PNAD questionnaire and interview guide.  It is disseminated through online digital publishing.
