IBGE's Central Register of Enterprises (Cadastro Central de Empresas, CEMPRE) – is an important group of data about Brazil’s economic activity. It gathers information relative to registers and to the economy which is obtained from annual surveys of the institute in the fields of Industry, Construction, Trade and Services and from the Annual List of Social Information - RAIS, of the Ministry of Labor and Employment.

The regional analysis includes the of number of local units, employed persons and salaries and other compensation. It is based on the presence of local units of companies and other active organizations in the areas bordered by the North, Northeast and Southeast. The data is then divided into the state of São Paulo and other states of the Region - South and Central West Regio.

Data are reported in the annual "Statistics of the Central Register of Enterprises (CEMPRE)."

The "Annual Survey of Businesses" was a project in 2007 but not in 2022.
