The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) reports annual employment data for Brazil by major regions. The data set includes total employed persons and average monthly salary.
IBGE’s Central Register of Enterprises – CEMPRE – is an important group of data about Brazil’s economic activity. It gathers information relative to registers and to the economy which is obtained from annual surveys of the institute in the fields of Industry, Construction, Trade and Services and from the Annual List of Social Information – RAIS, of the Ministry of Labor and Employment.
The regional analysis includes the of number of local units, employed persons and salaries and other compensation. It is based on the presence of local units of companies and other active organizations in the areas bordered by the North, Northeast and Southeast. The data is then divided into the state of São Paulo and other states of the Region – South and Central West Regio
