Release Information

 The source reports the statistics in terms of three geographic descriptions: The housing stock of the total of Germany, the housing stock in the former federal territory without Berlin, and the housing stock of new countries and specifies New Länder and Berlin. 

 The types of housing stocks displayed are apartments (both residential and non-residential) with total number of rooms ranging from 1 room to 7 or more rooms, as well as total number of rooms ad total area of living space available on the market. 

 Data is subjected to revisions.

Data from 2010 onwards are based on the building and housing census 2011
