Release Information

For Israel, annual measures of GDP and GDP by industry. GDP measures the market value of the products attributed to factors of production employed in Israel and in Jewish localities in Judea and Samaria before deduction of provisions for the consumption of fixed capital.

Data are disseminated in millions of NIS (new Israeli shekels) on GDP in current and chained constant prices (chained with the year 2015 as a basis). The data are compiled cover the entire economy. 

The national accounts framework is SNA 2008. The industry classification is SIC 2011.

Scope of data:

  • Transaction coverage: The production boundary is in accordance with the 2008 SNA. Estimates of illegal output are included for construction activities and illegal slaughtering of animals. Other illegal output sold to willing buyers is included if reported by households in the Household Expenditure Survey (HES).
  • Geographic coverage: Israel and Israeli localities in Judea and Samaria.
