Release Information
Gross National Income (GNI) data are collected and published within the National Accounts release. GNI and Net Income from Abroad figures are published.
The framework reference for the national accounts is the 1993 System of National Accounts (1993 SNA) and covers all economic activities within the geographic boundaries of Vietnam, including informal activities. Excluded are illegal activities on practical measurement grounds.
The GNI (which is a part of the National Accounts release) are compiled in accordance with the Handbook on Vietnam System of National Accounts (revised version 2003).
First Estimates are released in September of the reference year. Revised estimates are released in the lasy month of the reference year. Formal estimates are released in the last month of the reference year. Formal estimates are released at the end of the following year.
The base year for annual estimates is 1994. No seasonal adjustments are made to the data.
Figures are reported in Billions of Veitnamese Dongs (VND).
