The dataset provides information on the external debt, domestic debt and total debt of Bulgaria for a given reference period of time. It also highlights information on total government debt, external debt and domestic debt as a percentage of gross domestic product. It serves an input for providing information about government guarantees because of their importance for the sustainability of the government debt and the budget.
The data are provided by Bulgarian Ministry of Finance at nominal value. Debt in EUR is recalculated based on end-of-period Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) central exchange rates of the relevant currencies against the Bulgarian lev.
