Survey period – a reporting quarter.

The parameters estimated include construction works carried out (own-account works, construction works carried out by subcontractors, by kind of works, by type of constructions, by territory (within and outside the country), by location of the construction project) and labour input indicators (number of persons employed, hours worked, wages and salaries). The results of the survey represent the activity of all construction enterprises operating in the country in that period.

Statistical survey methods

The survey is carried out applying sampling methods. The stratified sampling plan is used for sample selection. The information on the enterprise’s type of activity and number of persons employed from the Statistical Business Register is used for stratification.

Data are collected from the respondents sampled using a Construction Enterprise Report. The enterprises provide filled in questionnaires by mail or directly in electronic form.

Labour input indicators (the number of persons employed and wages and salaries)) are estimated using the administrative data source – database of the State Social Insurance Fund Board.
