For Lithuania, retail trade turnover - revenue during a certain period, the sale of goods and (or) the provision of services from all companies whose main activity is trade, or meals, regardless of company type and ownership. The study includes: motor vehicles and motorcycles in the wholesale and retail trade and repair businesses, wholesalers, retail businesses, food and beverage service establishments.

Turnover - the entity's revenue during a certain period, the sale of goods and (or) the provision of services. Does not include proceeds from sale of tangible assets, financial and investment activities, extraordinary, and others.
Research population consists of all the companies whose main business - selling or meals, regardless of company type and ownership. The study includes: motor vehicles, motorcycles and wholesale and retail trade and repair businesses, wholesalers, retailers, food and beverage distribution companies.
Assessed the statistical indicators: turnover (excluding VAT) (monthly frequency).
The methods used:
The study carried out using sampling techniques. Coverage of development and sample selection plan is based on statistical information from the register of the company's economic activity, the average number of persons employed, turnover, in the second quarter of the State Social Insurance Fund Board (hereinafter - VSDFV) data on the number of employees, and VAT returns on the first declared half-year turnover.
Data sources - VSDFV data (statistical indicators - number of persons employed, salaries and wages) and the monthly survey (statistical indicators - turnover (excluding VAT), number of hours worked).
We have constructed seasonally adjusted counterparts to retail trade turnover series, using the U.S. Census Bureau's X-13ARIMA-SEATS program.
