Release Information

The source, The Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, reports data on the estimation of the construction of dwellings and dwelling stock, as well the completions at the end of the year.

According to the source, the main information collected during this release is the number of completed buildings, the floor area of completed buildings, the number of buildings under constructions, and the floor area of buildings under construction.

Buildings are structures with one or more rooms into which a person can enter. They must be intended for residence or performing an activity. A residential building is a building where at least half of the space is intended for residential purposes. A non-residential building is a building where at least half is intended for non-residential purposes. New construction or extension is any construction of a new building or any extension that cause the appearance of the building to be altered. Whereas, a conversion-improvement is when no construction is performed, but the impact of the building is altered.
