The statistical data for Portugal are provided by Bank of Portugal and compiled from the data provided by the Ministry of Finance, the Statistics Portugal, Euronext Lisboa and the Bank of Portugal.

Portugal adopted the Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS) in October 1998 for the dissemination of reliable, comprehensive and timely economic, financial and sociodemographic data.

The active dataset is consistent with ESA 2010 and the sixth education of the Balance of Payments Manual (BPM6) published by the IMF.

Older series are consistent with ESA 95 and the Fifth edition of the Balance of Payments Manual published by the IMF, and the third edition of the OECD’s Benchmark Definition of Foreign Direct Investment.

Potentially.
